5 TIPS FROM MY LATEST STYLING PROJECT

5 TIPS FROM MY LATEST STYLING PROJECT

I’m thrilled to share a project close to my heart that has recently been featured in the latest issue of Belle Magazine. This collaboration with the talented team at Studio Albus brought together architecture, interior design, and styling to create a home that feels both elegant and inviting.

The interior design concept from Studio Albus was grounded in minimalist elegance. Their vision focused on clean lines, timeless design, and luxurious materials. My role was to enhance their concept - ensuring that each room didn't just look beautiful, but felt like a home.

The key to achieving this balance was integrating darker hues, layering textures, sculptural forms and treasured pieces using a neutral colour scheme as a base to tie these elements together. By thoughtfully integrating these elements, I helped the space develop a sense of warmth, character and personality.

If you're looking to refresh your space, here are five key takeaways from this project that you can incorporate into your home.

1. Don't Be Afraid To Go Big

Oversized artwork creates a powerful focal point in a room. Whether above a sofa or on an empty wall, don’t be afraid to go bold. Larger art often feels more cohesive and balanced than smaller pieces, and it can give a room the visual weight it needs.

2. Establish Visual Motifs

Repeating design elements or textures throughout your space creates a cohesive theme. Soft curves and natural materials like linen and ceramics were the visual motifs in this home, tying everything together. Find ways to repeat textures or shapes to bring unity and personality to your home.

3. Create Personal Vignettes

I love curating small moments throughout the home—vignettes that reveal who you are and what you love. Whether it’s a carefully styled shelf, a sculptural ceramic piece, or a collection of art and books, these little displays add soul to a room. It’s all about showing off your personal style.

4. Use Stone In Unexpected Ways

Stone doesn’t just belong in kitchens or bathrooms! In this home, Studio Albus transformed an ordinary bathroom mirror and arched doorway by using bespoke Calcutta Vigil marble around the frame.

5. Integrate Colour Through Accents

Adding colour through accents such as bedlinen and artwork can inject life and energy into a neutral space without overwhelming it. These small yet impactful touches allow you to experiment with different hues and moods, ensuring your space feels fresh while maintaining a cohesive look.

I hope these takeaways inspire you to experiment with your own styling and create a space that not only looks beautiful, but truly reflects who you are and what you love.
