Fantasma Floor Lamp, Tobia Scarpa for Flos, c1961

A landmark of Italian lighting design, the Fantasma lamp was created by Tobia Scarpa for Flos in 1961. Standing at an impressive 186cm, its steel frame is enveloped in cocoon resin, giving it an ethereal, ghost-like presence - true to its name, Fantasma.

Over time, the resin develops a unique veined texture, adding depth and character to its soft, ambient glow.

One lamp has sold, we have one remaining.

Both have been professionally rewired with Australian plugs.

Condition: Both lamps are in very good original condition. The shades shows signs of age, including colour variations and minor imperfections at the points where the shades are stretched over the internal frames, which is to be expected (and preferred) for these lamps. The base on one lamp is showing some signs of rust & age, which we can leave as-is (as some prefer this) or restore prior to delivery or collection.
