From A Distant Land Hand-Made Sculpture by Julia Freiseisen
From A Distant Land by Perth-based artist Julia Freiseisen is a one-of-a-kind ceramic sculpture with an organic, hand-built form. A richly mottled glaze and tactile protrusions give the vessel a weathered character, suggesting ancient objects and ritual markings.
The textured surface brings depth and detail to a console, shelf or plinth. Display it on its own to highlight the sculptural form, or add dry branches to extend its silhouette.
