Blooming Vessel by Tantri Mustika

Tantri Mustika is a Melbourne (Naarm)-based ceramic artist known for her richly patterned surfaces, marbled clay forms and expressive use of colour. Working primarily in stoneware, her practice explores the relationship between pattern, texture and form through hand-built ceramics.

Her work draws inspiration from architecture, nature and her Balinese heritage, with collections such as Ukiran incorporating carved motifs and cultural references alongside her signature marbling and surface experimentation. Colour and pattern play a central role throughout her practice, creating pieces that feel both highly considered and deeply handmade.

Working within contemporary ceramics, Tantri Mustika creates objects that sit between sculpture and function. Her work was recently featured in Synthesis at Melbourne Design Week 2026, an immersive interior installation curated by Studio Shields exploring the relationship between art, design and domestic space. Today, her work is recognised for its distinctive visual language and its ability to bring colour, texture and surface detail into interiors.
